What are the manufacturing processes for boiler drums
The pot drum is composed of a head (tube plate) and a cylinder section. The type of head varies for boilers with different parameters. Low pressure boilers often use flat heads (also known as tube plates) or elliptical heads; Medium pressure boilers generally use elliptical heads, which are further divided into perforated heads and non perforated heads. The manufacturing process generally includes the following steps:
1. Head manufacturing process flow
Material acceptance → Marking (Material inspection number transplantation) → Gas cutting and cutting → Planing longitudinal weld groove (with splicing) → Splicing → Welding → Pressing → Non destructive testing (with splicing) → Car end face → Drilling → Installing manhole reinforcement ring → Welding → Car manhole sealing surface → To be installed
2. Process flow of cylinder section manufacturing
Material acceptance → Marking (material inspection number transplantation) → Gas cutting and cutting → Planing longitudinal circumferential weld seam groove → Pre bending → Rolling circle → Longitudinal seam docking assembly → Installing welding arc starting plate, welding inspection specimen (if necessary), arc extinguishing plate → Welding → Non destructive testing → Welding inspection specimen mechanical performance inspection (if there is a specimen) → Welding → Rounding → To be installed
3. Process flow of drum making
Assembly between a head and its connecting cylinder section and cylinder section → Welding → Non destructive testing → Assembly between the last head and cylinder body → Welding → Non destructive testing → Marking of hole position lines → Processing of pipe holes → Welding of pipe seats and joints → Hydrostatic testing → Processing of pipe joint grooves and holes → Assembly of internal devices and manhole devices → Painting and packaging → Warehousing
